I have a few rolls of plus-x super 8 film that i shot in Kuai and a roll of kodachrome 40 also processed, and i own a perfectly functioning 8mm projector made by Bell and Howell (autoload).
ok, so the film is not caught by the teeth of the auto loader.......you are supposed to lift the latch and press "forward" and ease the film leader in, but it won't catch. it just sounds like the tip of the leader is being hit by a fan...now, i am wondering if it is the wrong size, but hey, isnt 8mm the same size as super 8 mm? i mean, whats the deal? i really want to see my movies! i would love to show my friends and family, only i am too confused on how to load it....i feel bad, and whats worse is, to me, the autoload teeth doesn't LOOK like they would fit the super 8 prongs or what have you. please, someone explain what i am doing to make this not work! thank you!!!

super8 and regular 8 have different sprocket hole spacing and super 8 is slightly wider as well. You will need a new projector to view your super8. You can pick them up very cheap though, i bought my kodak instamatic m50 for $20 with a projection screen included. (canadian.) good luck.
tash.
